主要从事被子植物的生物地理学、景观基因组学、比较基因组学、进化基因组学研究。目前主要是姜科植物为研究材料,从种及种下水平探讨物种形成、演化过程及适应机制,为深入理解亚洲热带地区及泛喜马拉雅地区生物多样性的起源、演化和保护提供理论支撑。
